I would like to touch upon the theme of pre-New Year's illumination in cities. And in general, I was a little sore about the pre-New Year atmosphere.

In Vologda this year, new light figures were installed in several places. It is very good news that every year the winter holiday is becoming more and more colorful.

But, as I and many people I know believe, all New Year's elements need to be introduced gradually and much later.

You need to work all of December as usual and start doing something only closer to twentieth.

I understand that the city authorities have some kind of plan, but the figures have been standing since mid-November!

For such a period of time, they become familiar and will no longer cause that amount of the pre-holiday atmosphere.

Enthusiasm, mood - it all tends to fade away. And flickering lights at every step are becoming commonplace. Was it like that before?

I have passed by more than once and observed how people react to all New Year's decorations.

The peak of photographing with an art object falls on the first days of its installation. Then these are one-time isolated cases.

Perhaps there was another reason for such an early installation of light figures - the lack of snow cover.

But I’m not only about the figures, but about the holiday atmosphere in general.

Already on every house there is a luminous balcony, or even more than one!

I would not be surprised if someone has already set up a Christmas tree...

The post came out abusive to the holidays. I am not against all this. I am against too early introduction to the masses.

Well, you can't wait or what? Wait at least the middle of the month!

Yes, you need to be in time for everything...but is it really not enough for a week and a half to prepare?
