When I first started photographing, I knew how and loved to take photos of natural and urban landscapes. Like any photographer, I looked at how other more experienced masters of their craft shoot.
For a long time I watched the St. Petersburg photographers filming the city landscape at regime time, and was a little jealous.
Good envy was only from the fact that there were not so many objects in my city.
And I also wanted to become a roofer in order to conquer the roofs of my city. About this I also spied on from St. Petersburg.
But having visited a couple of times on the roofs, and then succeed in the city landscape and finally knowing reportage photography, I stopped watching the landscape painters of the cultural capital.
The point is that I am now in a much different creative environment.
For many years now I have not erased wires in Photoshop, I have not inserted the sky from another frame, I have not magnified the moon or substituted it in the right place.
I capture reality as it is.
St. Petersburg's roofs are certainly beautiful!
And the views from above are simply mesmerizing!
But it's like flying a helicopter a couple of times and it's enough for the whole year.
I would, of course, find just a huge number of plots related to roofs.
But apparently, I'm still needed for photography in a more ordinary environment.
Taking these pictures from a great height, I did not feel that I was doing something grandiose.
After all, Petersburg is simply re-shot from all possible angles and points.
And I just just took and repeated something similar...just for myself.
