So, epiphany. I was sent to take pictures at the Sokolovsky spring, and this is a countryside. The place is beautiful, but the darkness is impenetrable. One light source per bathing area!
The spring itself is located a little to the side, and swimming took place on a small lake in the middle of the forest.
I will not explain how the photo story is composed. That there are opening and closing pictures, there is the main one, there is a dynamic one, there is a semantic one, there is an abstract one, and all this should be in one series.
The main task is to show the action and to make it clear what is happening and how.
And about the noise, I also mentioned that it is better to lift the ISO up to the skies, but get a sharp picture in the end.
By the way, these photos were taken immediately in jpeg format. I also duplicated the shooting in RAW, but the in-camera noise reduction coped just fine, so I didn't have to resort to deeper processing. In the pictures, I just corrected the color.
Glory to the rescuers who were on duty at the font! They sometimes turned on their headlamps, which greatly saved the difficult lighting situation.
At such moments, you involuntarily remember about the aperture of the lens.
The wide angle of view of the lens for me has not been showing off for a long time, but a means of obtaining an image.
For a long time I trained my eyes so that I just need to look at a photograph and I will tell you how it was taken, under what conditions and with what roughly parameters.
In general, Epiphany bathing is always similar from year to year, and it is very difficult to shoot something outstanding.
I've already seen pictures taken underwater, with reflections, from a quadcopter and even nude.
So surprise with the most ordinary bathing is unlikely to succeed.
But sometimes a well-made routine is better than an abundance of various tricks.
After all, this is not a project, but just a reportage photography.
The value of a story starts from the moment it is created and then drops rapidly over time.
And only it can grow again only after 30 years or even later.
But this will no longer be a photo report, but a documentary photography.
