We have finally winter in here and it's been snowing for almost two days straight. I was excited to go out with my camera to capture the white planes I had been waiting for months already. Sadly I wasn't really able to capture anything of interest and only took maybe 10 pictures during my whole outing, and all of them bad and/or boring.
First I was really bummed about that but then I realised that I don't have to take amazing pictures every damn time. In the past few years, I have gotten pretty good at seeing what is worth a shot and taken a lot of really good images, it shouldn't be the end of the world if on an odd day when I carry my camera, it's just dead weight.
Today it was about 3 kilos of dead weight around my neck but it's fine, I'll get over it. I didn't see anything I wanted to capture, nothing interesting, and wasn't feeling like going above and beyond trying to either. It's fine, I'm fine. I'll take the camera out on a day when it looks like it's nicer outside. Though I do love to be in the snowy weather, it's not visually the most pleasing thing when the sun is not present.
I'm waiting for that magical sunny winter day when everything is just glitter. That's what I love and the camera loves too. Here's to hoping we get that soon.
At least I got to take out my huopikkaat.
