The sad reality seems to be that many women actually buy into this ”empowered” woman trope. I grew up tailing my dad and boy cousins and was very much a tomboy and took pride in being able to do anything a man could, and better, so I get it. I’ve always been very into the girly stuff too but played that down, only in the resent years I have realised that there is nothing shameful or weak about being very feminine.
