Usually I’m just oppressing but now I’m also suppressing, gotta have many talents.
I never thought I’d ever be working in any factory, let alone a silencer maker one but life is so darn interesting and here I am!
I have zero education on working lathe and milling machines but monkey see monkey do and it didn’t take more than five minutes to get the hang of it. Trained monkey stuff and really easy as long as there aren’t any problems or that I’d actually have to know what I’m doing or what things are called.
I’ve done some photography and design work earlier for this small suppressor company, then I’ve assambled some of their silencers and now I’m actually making the parts.
As a curious little creature I find it extremely interesting to know how the silencers are actually made. I am by no means a real shooter myself, I just do it for fun sometimes but from what I’ve seen and heard, I’m part of making some real quality suppressors. I’m always listening in and asking questions because I just like knowing things, you’ll never know when that knowledge might come in handy.
Isn’t it interesting how as just a metal worker without a gun license of any sort, technically when the suppressor is ready as I put in the last part, I am no longer allowed to handle it because it’s now a gun part. Obviously that’s not how it goes in real life and I am allowed to package and do whatever needed when I’m at the shop but I can’t walk out with an innocent little suppressor in my pocket. The gun laws are different in every country but here in Finland you don’t need a separate licence to buy a silencer, but you can only buy one for that specific kind of gun you legally own and have a license for.
