A snow ”inferno” outside is the perfect excuse to finally open the fancy Neuhaus chocolates we got for Christmas, along with some bubbly.
I was actually hoping for a proper snow storm but it really wasn’t that bad, just a few hours of somewhat heavy snowfall. Nothing that would deter northeners from going about their day like normal.
We hit the big second hand furniture shop today, last time we went in was around Christmas and the turnout is pretty fast so there is usually something new to find. I’ve always loved antique furniture and there are not that many shops, especially well curated ones up north. There are gorgeous shops fill with treasured in the southern coast, but the prices are higher and shipping or having to go get the stuff will also be a hassle.
Today I got lucky and found the perfect antigue lamp for the living room, it’s really nice and heavy with good patina on it. The green shade alone is a pretty gross colour but I think it works perfectly for the vibe I’m going for. The category is: old money.
I was left longing for a big gold frame with a painting that I could have tossed and comissioned my sister to paint something gorgeous instead, but the price was a bit steep so I left it there.
I’m getting super into sourcing treasures from the second hand market, the only problem with that is if you find something you absolutely adore, you need to snatch it up right away. Nothing haunts me like the things I didn’t buy.
