The other day I was reading the HIVE FAQs because, why not? I was bored and there weren't any new posts that looked interesting to me. Somewhere in there it was mentioned what exchanges carried HIVE. It mentioned a new one I hadn't seen.
It's name was Ionomy ( https://ionomy.com)
I got to wondering if it carried STEEM as well. Remember Steemit? I still have an account there and check it out once in a while. I HAD, emphasis had, several hundred STEEM still there. Oh, I know all about the clone to HIVE. Been there done that. But that STEEM was still sitting there. I couldn't find an exchange that I trusted to take it out.
So I dithered. Naturally it wanted a password to open a new account. I purely HATE passwords. I most especially hate it when I attempt to type one in and instead of charters I see ...... (dot. dot. dot). How the hell am I supposed to know if I mistyped? I live with cats. Cats shed hair. Cat hair gets into everything. Sometimes my keyboard doesn't do what I want it to do. So I hate dots.
But I digress. I knuckled down, buckled down, cowboy uped, and sucked it in. I committed password. Again. By gum it worked. So what the hell. I checked it out and what do you know! It does in fact carry STEEM. This was my chance to recuse those poor lonely STEEM tokens languishing on Steemit. So what the hell. The worst that could happen was that I would lose...noting? I attempted to transfer all that lonely STEEM (and steem dollars) from Steemit to Ionomy ( https://ionomy.com)
IT WORKED. I had almost a handful of STEEM (and Steem Dollars) on Ionomy. Then I made a horrible mistake. I check the price of Steem. (real bad) then I checked how well it has been doing lately. Down, down, down. So what good would it do me to have my recovered 'Steem Stuff" on Ionomy if it melted away to nothing.
So....SOOOOO. I did it again. I made a leap of faith and doubled down.
I used that soon to be worthless 'steam stuff' to buy Bitcoin.
By damn it worked.
Do I dare lookit my account on CoinBase and send the BTC there, sell it for USD then send it to my bank?
Noooo. That might be pushing my luck. I'll wait and do that some other day.
APOLOGY to Information war.
nanoseconds after I pushed POST I realized that it was possibly inappropriate for informationwar. Sorry. I'll try to do better in the future.
