It has been Politicized.

..........................................................................................................................................................................
What got my attention (like a 2 x 4 between the eyes) was this.

I sent a few dollars worth of BitCoin to CoinBase.
Just like I've done many times before.
(I intended to take advantage of the impending AirDrop for Segwit2x)

two days later and it still had not been confirmed.
Meanwhile the airdrop had gone away.
There would BE no Segwit2X...it wasn't going to happen
Which caused BitCoin

and

my money went away too.
Poof like a snowflake on a hot stove.
It's gone.
That concerned me.

............................................................................

Recently I read this.
Hoping for a Lightning Strike — Bitcoin Scaling Debate Explained
.
Off-chain Scaling
Bitcoin Core is the first full-node client built for Bitcoin,
originally spearheaded by Satoshi Nakamoto himself.

.
It strikes me that there has always been a solution to the problems that they've been whining about. It would only take some development.
.
Rather than wait, they bastardized the BitCoin BlockChain. It had babies....first BitCoin Cash, then BitCoin Gold, then the aborted Segwit2x.
.
Why?
.
Dunno, but I'd bet that it's political.
.
I detest politics,
so I'm not going to play.
.
I just now finished transferring a small amount of LITECOIN
(just as I had attempted to transfer BitCoin).
It took about five minutes.
It's enroute to my Credit Union as I write.
The fee's were minimal...

MUCH LESS

than I would have paid for BitCoin.
.
So what's the point of BitCoin for me?
I'm not an invester.
I don't HODL
