the rotted part of the bulkhead between the cabin and the engine will has been removed

the engine well has pretty much been cleaned out.
the boards are used to support a step ladder..

there is standing water in that hole.
Either the boat was sunk or allowed to get water inside somehow...perhaps rain.
Either way...all the wood is rotted and has to come out.
That OLD foam is brittle and extremely lightweight.
I'm taking it all out.
I'm scooping it out with a shovel like snow.
