Hello everyone! I hope you are well! I am here again as promised, to tell you that this morning we had our second prenatal exams to see how the baby is developing and also to know the sex since we didn't know it at 20 weeks. We woke up early and you can not imagine my nerves that yesterday I could not sleep well or well those who are mothers of course you can imagine and fathers too. This time we went to a different place from where I had my first prenatals but the good thing is that the doctor was also very nice like the first one and translated everything in English for me.

El doctor hizo unas preguntas primero y luego pasamos a hacer la ecografía donde tomó primero unas medidas del cérvix, y básicamente dijo que mis medidas eran más pequeñas de lo normal lo que significa que probablemente nuestro bebé nazca antes, es decir, puedo tener un parto prematuro. Luego empezó a visualizar la anatomía del bebé, cada parte, a medir algunas cosas, y ufff yo estaba tan nerviosa y me alegraba cuando decía esto está bien o es normal y también quería que él dijera terminamos jajaja.
The doctor asked a few questions first and then we went on to do the ultrasound where he first took some measurements of the cervix, and basically said that my measurements were smaller than normal which means that our baby will probably be born earlier, meaning I can have a premature delivery. Then he started visualizing the baby's anatomy, every part, measuring some things, and ufff I was so nervous and I was so happy when he said this is fine or normal and I also wanted him to say we are done hahaha.
Luego se fue a ver los genitales del bebe, y debo contarles que he leído tanto en internet que cuando ví la imágen sabía lo que es, pero esperaba que el doctor confirmara lo que yo pensaba y entonces escuché en inglés: hundred percent girl. Pawel y yo pegamos un pequeño gritó de la emoción, pues deseabamos con ansias una niña que llamaremos Olivia. Como vieron arriba mi panza, Olivia cada día está más grande, y últimamente me canso rápido pero me siento bien y el doctor hoy nos dió muchas fotos y estaba muy contenta por ello pues los anteriores doctores no lo hicieron.
Then he went to see the baby's genitals, and I must tell you that I have read so much on the internet that when I saw the picture I knew what it is, but I was waiting for the doctor to confirm what I thought and then I heard in English: hundred percent girl. Pawel and I gave a little scream of excitement, as we were looking forward to a baby girl that we will call Olivia. As you saw above my belly, Olivia is getting bigger every day, and lately I get tired fast but I feel good and the doctor today gave us many pictures and I was very happy about it because the previous doctors didn't do it.
Siguiendo con los detalles, el doctor dijo que no hay riesgos de defectos genéticos según la anatomía y biometría fetal, las demás medidas eran acordes a las 20 semanas que tiene nuestro bebé y su peso también, lo único que vió es un punto blanco en su corazoncito (foco ecogénico) pero dijo que no nos preocuparamos que es común en algunos embarazos y que como mis pruebas de sangre salieron bien entonces no era nada malo, que probablemente desaparecerá en la semana 24, pero igualmente nos recomendó hacer una ecocardiogafía fetal.
Continuing with the details, the doctor said that there is no risk of genetic defects according to the anatomy and fetal biometry, the other measurements were consistent with the 20 weeks that our baby has and his weight too, the only thing he saw is a white spot in his little heart (echogenic focus) but he said not to worry that it is common in some pregnancies and that since my blood tests were fine then it was nothing bad, it will probably disappear in week 24, but still recommended us to do a fetal echocardiography.
Y bueno solo queda a seguirse cuidando y alimentando bien para que el bebé siga creciendo sano y fuerte. Aunque también quería contarles que el sabado pasado estaba en la tienda de construcción con Pawel comprando cosas para el jardín y me desmayé, por suerte no tuve ningún golpe porque alcancé a tomar a Pawel del brazo y avisarle que iba a desmayarme, estuve un rato inconsciente cuando desperté Pawel estaba nervioso y más tarde llamó a la ambulancia porque no tenía muchas fuerzas para levantarme y de hecho luego me volví a desmayar en la caja, los enfermeros me revisaron y solo tuve una bajada de tensión, más tarde esta estaba normal aunque también me llevaron al hospital para verificar con una ecografía que el bebé estaba bien y así lo era, que bueno que Pawel estaba conmigo y yo no estaba sola.
And well, we just have to keep taking care of ourselves and feeding well so that the baby continues to grow healthy and strong. Although I also wanted to tell you that last Saturday I was in the construction store with Pawel buying things for the garden and I fainted, luckily I did not have any blow because I managed to take Pawel by the arm and warn him that I was going to faint, I was unconscious for a while when I woke up Pawel was nervous and later called the ambulance because I did not have much strength to get up and in fact then I fainted again in the box, The nurses checked me and I only had a drop in blood pressure, later it was normal but they also took me to the hospital to verify with an ultrasound that the baby was fine and it was, it was good that Pawel was with me and I was not alone.
Y bueno volvimos a casa, felices y muy positivos de que nuestro bebé va a estar bién y ese punto blanco va a desaparecer. Mis amigas tenían razón, es una niña jajaja, y serán unas tías maravillosas. Todas sus bendiciones para nuestra pequeña niña serán bien recibidas. Los quiero mucho y gracias también por sus lindos comentarios y por estar pendiente de nosotros!
And well we came home, happy and very positive that our baby is going to be fine and that white spot is going to disappear.
