I don't know if I am ever going to forget this scenario in my life because it left a scar on my body that reminds me of what happened that fateful day but thanks to God the scar is clearing off.

On this particular day, I wasn't feeling too strong so I was asked to stay back home and treat myself very well. My mom decided to cook beans and unripe plantain so that I can take my drugs and rest for the day but I didn't want to eat such food so I was asked to cook what I felt like eating.

I went into the store, picked three ripe plantains and vegetable oil, and came out to the kitchen to fry plantain and egg. I was about to fry the last portion of my plantain when my frying pan with the hot oil in it accidentally tumbled and poured on my leg.

My mom heard me scream and rushed into the kitchen to find me rolling on the floor because of the effect of the hot oil on my leg, I was rushed to a nearby pharmaceutical shop and first aid was administered to me, I was also given drugs that will help in healing the wound quickly.

My dad came back and saw the wound and wasn't happy with what he saw, and the next day, I was given my drugs to go take along with me to school and not stay at home since I didn't want to stay home peacefully and get healed. Every day I went to school wearing my flip-flop since I couldn't wear my normal school wears.

It took the injury two months before it got healed properly and for the two months, I knew the pains I went through. The scar although clearing off but remains to remind me of that fateful day.
