Step 1:
When talking about alphabetical order, we are talking about alphabets that comes first when arranged sequentially.
Today we will be using this exercise to remind pupils of their alphabet orderly. It going to be fun doing this and I hope it helps bring back the memory of being taught to read your Alphabets.
Example:
Underline the word that would come first if these words were arranged alphabetically.
- Cleave, Dark, Blend, Mould, Kit.
Note: To do alphabetical order,we check the first letters of each word. Most times, the first letter of each words are always same, all the learner has to do is check the second letter to be able to arrange the words alphabetically.
Other Examples:
- Pattern, Seem, Red, Xmas , Zealous.
- Rice, Rhyme, Rough, Reject, Ruby.
- Zombie, Wit, Irate, Hat, Jeep.
- Lead, Plumb, Numb, Quid, Orange.
- Iron, Rave, Mind, Garland, Cut
EXERCISE:

Circle the word which would come last in the line if arranged alphabetically.
