PROVERBS 14:31
He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. Vs.31
Whenever we look down on a man, we are indirectly looking down on God. He hate people being oppressed because He so love mankind that is why He said in the scripture;
MATTHEW 25:40
The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. Vs. 40
So many in the world today because of their wealth trample on the poor and treat them like they are not human, they humiliate them with no mercy and regard them as trash.
The above scripture is saying whatever you do to anyone even the least wretched, you are doing to Him because He created that person and not you. Because you see one looking tattered, you simply give the person a bad look. Be careful, because you don't know tomorrow and you can't simply tell who are person is or will be tomorrow with their looks.
They may be poor today, does not mean they won't have tomorrow. They may come to beg for food or money doesn't mean they will come to beg tomorrow or won't have enough food to eat and to spare or have enough money to do whatever they which.
Here is a rampant story I have always heard, about a man who was so nice to people, those he doesn't know and those he knows. he gave arms to the poor, needy, widow, fatherless and orphanage. He sent those who needed to go to school to school, gave the jobless job and a good house to stay. He was married and had kids.
One day, He died and his relatives took everything from his wife and kids and sent them penniless into the street to go and hustle for themselves.
One day, one of his son's decided to go look for a cleaner job in a well reputable company to help his family. getting there, he meet the C.E.O of the well established company and he was interviewed.
The C.E.O stumbled on his surname and asked him if he was the son of the man, with humility and trembling, the poor boy gave answers to the C.E.O about his father and family and the big man was so surprised And overwhelmed and said with utmost joy, "Your father sent me to school when I had no hope of going to school and that is why i am here today".
With tears the boy told the big man all that has happened to him and his family and also about the death of his father. The C.E.O there and then promised to help the boy and his family for just that little kindness the father did.
LESSON TO LEARN
The father gave a helping hand but the son is the one receiving the benefits of his kindness. Most help we give to people out of all our heart or out of love without asking or thinking of what we will achieve in return comes back to us in double.
Don't look down on anybody and learn to help if you know you can help because this world they say "Is a small world". You don't know where you will meet that person or someone related to you.
Many Christians because of our selfish nature have forgotten the principles of giving and you ask, "Why does those we see as the non-Christians more wealthier than us"? An answer here is because those people though may not be true believers but they know the principles of giving. They give in the secret and don't take pride in it or let their left hand know about it.
LUKE 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Vs. 38
But for we Christians it is a story for another day, we give and let billions in the world know we made that person become this or that. We give i expect the person to bow to us like we own their lives just for a token. Don't quote me wrong, I am not saying that we don't have those kind of people as Christians, but honestly speaking it is rare.
Never look down on anyone because they could be the solution to your challenges. Never look down on anyone today because of your money for tomorrow that your money that you think looks big to you may become a little change that does not count to someone else.
The way you treat someone today is the same way you or someone related to you will be treated and it could be your children. It is called KARMA.
