I have been meaning to watch the documentary of Peter Jackson, "Beatles: Get Back", but man, it got busy and I didn't have time to do more than enjoy the trailer. But knowing Jackson's work, I'm confident in the outcome and the short clip shows his love for the band.
And in the subject of the Beatles, my musical diary today reminded me that as this day in 1961 was the first day the band played at the famous Liverpool's Cavern Club, where they continued to play for over a year. It was at this club that they met Epstein, who changed the course of their career.
And just to keep in the mood, in 1964 the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show in America, where they were a huge success. a show watched by over 74 million people. It was the first time that such a large audience watched a television programme. The "Beatlemania" had begun...
Beatles was a phenomenon... The fabulous 4 that conquered the world.
