Your Altar

Break now the backs

Of self-righteous prudence.
The art on the walls
Of your heart
Betray your true intentions.
Disproportionate gazes
Relax on the mirror—
Your vanity reeks
As a sewer.
Throw rocks at the glass.
There will be time to ask
For new ones
When you have burned down
Your altar.
