Losing Yesterday

The day is ruined,
Maybe the year,
I cannot bare to lift
My own weight.

My stomach crawls
With questions it
Cannot digest.

Like glue on
An envelope,
I have sealed
My fate to
Another and
Now bear the
Scars of my
Foolish
Dependency.

Does pain justify
Isolation?
Or do introductions
Bear the guilt of
Good byes?

I wish I had read the future,
Or could return to the past.
But I will live in today,
As long as it is called Today.
