Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity (Eccl. 1:2 KJV)
King Solomon composed the expressions of the verse above. He concludes "all is vanity" or useless. What might have influenced Solomon of all men to say that life is vanity?
An outline of the basic events of King Solomon's life will be valuable here. He was conceived and picked by God to be king after David. He had distinction, riches, influence, brilliance, magnificence, accomplishments, ladies, workers and surely all that a man's heart would ever dream of. However, in the later piece of his life, he relinquished the method for God and started venerating the icons of his spouses.
