I'm on the fence when it comes to IPAs. I'm not a huge fan of hops, and have had some the were too hopped up for me to enjoy. This is not the case with Green Ghost. Coming in with an IBU of 65 and an alc. by vol. of 6.5% (coincidence? or brewers secret?) this craft brew it actually quite refreshing.
If you are using the Untapped app, which I refer to as the "Pokemon of beer - gotta drink em all", it suggests flavor profiles of hoppy, smooth, citrusy, light, and fruity.
"Big punch of citrus, melon, and pine notes from citra & centennial hops." - the label
I give it a 3.5 on Untapped, not simply because it is an IPA, but because I've had better IPAs. Don't get me wrong, It isn't bad. I'd definitely drink it in a pinch. It's not something I will go out of my way for, but I'll take it over a Bud Light any day.
Disclaimer: I know Springfield isn't in NW Arkansas, but this is my favorite pint glass, and I am in NW Arkansas. So, pfft! :)
