What advice would you give to someone out there who’s trying to do this life thing right? It may be work-related advice or general life advice.
In life I believe we do not have to please others and displease ourselves, most people overdo things which leads to regret at the end of it.
In life people need to love themselves first, if you do not appreciate yourself no one will do that for you and if you think other people come first then you are liable to collapse at the beginning of your journey in life.
My advice to people about life is that "YOU CAN NEVER PLEASE EVERYONE" I love this quote so much because I do look at my life and I am a typical example of never allowing anyone to dictate for you.
As a young lady, I wish I could please people around me by satisfying everyone around me not knowing I was doing too much and this is affecting me, people who I am struggling to meet their daily needs don't care about me.
I remembered a time that I struggled to help one of my cousin's brothers, he was so stranded and had nothing on him, I struggled to find some money and gave it to him, but instead of him telling me thank you the only thing he said was "is this all you can do", this statement shocked me and I cried over it because he does not know how I got the money, meanwhile I did makeup for a client and handed over all the money to him, I was so frustrated with that statement and this made me make up my mind not to go extra Miles for some else.
I said to myself do I deserve this insult from my cousin, he never appreciated what I did and this left a scar in my heart then I decided never to go out of my will to please others, since then I promised never to displease myself in other to help others, I can only release the money that I am not using at that moment.
In life, we do not have to please anyone just for them to appreciate us, I am not saying it is not good to help, but always come first, and do not allow someone else burdens to weigh you down, some people are born to make you feel useless even if you strive hard to do your best for them.
We can never please everyone in this life, learn how to say no sometimes, not every time you carry a burden that will make you collapse.
I hope someone gets my message and I believe it will work for you, The people that you are fighting for today can be your biggest enemy tomorrow, human beings are very difficult to satisfy, it is in our nature and that is why we are not perfect, do not act like a perfect being in other to satisfy others because people will turn their back at you when life is dealing with you.
