HIVE OPEN MIC week 327 The sun comes out. Salió el sol (cover) by @eudarcabello [ESP/ENG]
I thought I'd tackle this topic as soon as it came up, but I had a rough week at work—some not-so-pleasant things happened, and I had to speak up. Let's hope that confrontation improves things at work.
Hi everyone in the HIVE OPEN MIC community It’s @eudarcabello here, and this time I’m participating in Week 327, titled “The Sun Comes Out.” I didn’t want to leave this post until the last minute—I always do my best to post on time each week, and this time I tried harder than ever, but it still happened. I hope to stay on schedule from now on, for real. The crazy thing is that I finally finished my grad school exams—they were really driving me nuts—even though I’m already out of the program because I failed one of the courses. As for my thesis, I’m still being a bit lazy, but it’s actually a project for my current job. So even though I’m no longer in the Marine Biology grad program, its shadow still haunts me. Let’s hope it’s over soon so I can see if another opportunity for a grad program comes up. The song I chose is the most literal one I could think of; it’s medium-length, but I feel like I could have mastered more of the lyrics. It was the one I did—to be honest, I never really made an effort to learn it all the way through—but it wasn’t until now, when I read the lyrics, that I realized it wasn’t that complicated. I messed up a little. The song was made popular by reggaeton artist Don Omar and is titled “The sun came up”. I didn’t want to keep racking my brain to see if another song would come to mind; I’m satisfied with how my choice turned out for this week—or rather, with the little bit I was able to record. I definitely needed to do this to fill myself with good vibes for the new week, so it seemed like the right thing to do.

Bailando pura candela

The Sun Came Out
(Don, Don)
A tanned body and her friends
Were looking for some action
(All the sexy)
The song
(All my sexy ladies)
That gives them and their bodies
That feeling
(More reggaeton)
Reggaeton
They’re asking for reggaeton
Don’s kind
(Pon di river, pon di river, pon di river, pon di river)
They feel the pressure
(Pon di bank, pon di bank, pon di bank, pon di bank)
She dances all by herself
She really knows how to shake her booty
She goes all out and lets loose to the beat
Go for it—without fear, she tears up the dance floor
The gun, she goes wild
(Reload)
She drives him crazy with the way she moves
Dancing with pure fire
She drives him crazy when she picks up the pace
And gets wild
And I want to know how Julieta dances
(And I want to know how Julieta dances)
Julieta dances sexy
With her hand on her head
(My sexy Julieta)
(Julieta dances sexy with her hand on her head)
The sun came up

Tanned body and her friends

She’s on her own trip
(Let her go)
She’s unstoppable
(Let her loose)
She let her hair down
(Send her out)
Her outfit ripped
(Control her)
She’s all about the beach and sand
(Yes)
She gets turned on when
The sun burns her
She wants reggaeton
A club for the girl
(More fire)
It gets into her veins
When the beat drops

ORIGINAL VIDEO
The meetings to draw up work plans have been endlessly unbearable. I know it’s not the director’s fault, but this is already the fourth time my blood sugar has dropped on my way home because they won’t let me have lunch on time. You can see that people are getting frustrated and becoming even more unbearable. I walked out halfway through signing some paperwork so I could leave right away, and she yelled that she wasn’t finished. If she got that worked up over that, imagine what it would be like if I ate right in the middle of the meeting.
I had to meet with that director to tell her that I can’t risk getting hit by a car or continuing to feel unwell when I try to walk with low blood sugar; I also took the opportunity to tell her face-to-face that I’m dropping out of the graduate program. I wouldn’t say the confrontation was pleasant, but I felt it was necessary.
I try to let all the things in my life flow, I might try to force everything a little bit, like with the Marine Biology postgraduate course or trying to be constant in Hive, but whatever ends up turning out, I know I will know how to accept it. Grateful for all the good things that have happened to me and the bad things that I have gotten rid of, for your support, I hope you also visit my other posts, good luck with your content and see you next week.
