The bedrock for effective time management lies in setting a clear goal. Without having a goal of what you want to achieve in a day, it won't be very easy to get carried away by other things from what you have already planned to do.
Prioritize your Tasks
The time created for different tasks varies because not all tasks are created equally. The task that is more important and urgent should be done first because it demands urgent attention and should be done with urgency. Followed by the tasks that are important but not urgent. The ones that are neither urgent nor important should come last because they contribute little to your goals.
Create a Schedule
Having a well developed schedule is crucial for managing time effectively. Simplify your day into a small unit of time and then allocate your taske from that into that unit of time. Try your best to be realistic with yourself to know how much time each task will take and have a break period for each of them for rest.
Deal with Procrastination
The act of procrastinating is a time killer. One has to be intentional about combating with Procrastination, and the only way to do that is to first identify the reasons behind your habit of procrastination. It could be lack of interest or something because of how difficult the task is. Then think of what to do in order to tackle it. First break down your task to simple ones, that can be handled by you. If it's lack of interest then create something fun around you, it can be music to keep you happy while working.
Embrace Technology Wisely
We now have technology and it has influenced us to some extent. We can use technology to make our work easy but it can also turn out to be a distraction to us too. Make use of productive apps to help make your work easy such as reminder, tasks .
