Всем привет!	Hello everyone!
Первое мая – праздник и в России и в Беларуси. В моём детстве это был Международный день солидарности трудящихся. В этот день в СССР всегда проводили демонстрации. Для участников и особенно детей в позднем СССР никакой политической составляющей в этих демонстрациях уже не было. Все дружно шагали по главной площади, размахивали цветами и воздушными шариками и радовались весне.	The first of May is a holiday in both Russia and Belarus. When I was a child, it was International Workers' Day. On this day, demonstrations were always held in the USSR. For the participants and especially children in the late USSR, there was no longer any political component in these demonstrations. Everyone walked together along the main square, waving flowers and balloons and rejoicing in spring.
Готовя этот пост, я обнаружила, что сейчас в России этот праздник называется по-другому – День весны и труда. Демонстрации у нас, кстати, проходят, но я в них давно не участвую. На первомайские праздники обычно переносят какие-то дни с новогодних каникул или выходных. Получается 3-4 дня, в которые люди отправляются в поездки или на дачи, на пикники. В этом году мы с подругой поехали в трехдневную поездку в Беларусь. В Беларуси в день 1 мая отмечают Праздник труда.	While preparing this post, I discovered that now in Russia this holiday is called differently - Spring and Labor Day. By the way, we have demonstrations, but I haven’t participated in them for a long time. On the May Day holidays, some days are usually postponed from the New Year holidays or weekends. It turns out 3-4 days in which people go on trips or to dachas, on picnics. This year my friend and I went on a three-day trip to Belarus. In Belarus, Labor Day is celebrated on May 1st.
29 апреля мы шли с экскурсией по Могилеву. Первомайская (кстати) улица вывела нас на огромную площадь Славы.	On April 29 we went on a tour of Mogilev. Pervomaiskaya (by the way) street led us to the huge Slava Square.
Ещё издали мы услышали музыку и какие-то команды в громкоговоритель.	From a distance we heard music and some commands through the loudspeaker.

Оказалось, что на площади около Мемориала борцам за советскую власть проходит репетиция. Школьники готовили довольно массовое выступление к 1 мая. Я сфотографировала общий план.

It turned out that a rehearsal was taking place on the square near the Memorial to the Fighters for Soviet Power. Schoolchildren were preparing quite a massive performance for May 1st. I took a picture of the general plan.
