Hello, greetings to you all my hivevians and also to #hiveghana community.
It some how worrisome when someone living in an environment, doing one or two things to develop the area but this natural phenomenon an enemy to environment I call it erosion will in it season destroy the area, though a lot is causing by humans activities without planning trying to get more of good from the environment.
What is this erosion in a common man understanding? Scholars have given meaning to it , but im a layman understanding it is the washing away of topsoil by the raining water during its season.
As humans being uses the environment to carry out development which is expected from us,a lot of us do it ignorantly by building houses without good plans, other built Estate where it was swampy in the past generation carrying out the act of sand filling the earth of that particular location.
This act makes our environment to face the natural effect of erosion, which is a natural phenomenon but When controlled can not damage or destroy those structures set up by humans or even natural plants do face it's forces,but the question to answer is "Is Erosion An Enemy To Environment?",if Yes give reason and if No give reason,.
Let me give my own point of view,I will say Yes erosion is an enemy to environment, because a lot of destruction and damages caused by erosion is uncountable even though it is a natural phenomenon but the way it's forces it self through unnecessary channels which caused leaves unbearable by displacing a lot of people even some well constructed structures do suffer the set back. Like the one happening in my neighborhood presently,the heavy rain fall has sent people away from their houses,a well confirmed constructed structures were over flooded this morning and residence were trying to get their properties out before it's been damaged or destroy. It was really seen as an enemy to the environment blocking the entrance to this building.
It was a wonderful and a shocking incident that even caused me to render help by trying to filled the side of one of the buildings that was wash away by Erosion and the base of the foundation was surface out. At the moment,I was trying to call on people around to assist these residents to remove their properties while writing on some gazette for government and None governmental organization to come to their aid.
My idea of solution to this problem is we should encourage to welcome Aforestation and stop deforestation, also reduces our activities on how we build structures or constructing roads. Moreover, Environmental agency should be checking humans activities always to avoid this natural phenomenon known as Erosion.
