Hello to the entire community, this is my entry for the Ladies of Hive weekly contest. The question I selected was about the possibility of attending a community masquerade party, and what my costume would be.
I choose the fictional character Elizabeth Bennet. She is the protagonist of the novel Pride and Prejudice, written by the British author Jane Austen.
I really like Elizabeth's personality: she is elegant yet sincere, serious when she needs to be, and fun when the occasion calls for it. A very strong and brave woman who never tried to hide her feelings, no matter how vulnerable she might seem.
I would like to dress in the white period dress she wore to the party where she met Darcy. I would wear the same hairstyle. I would only add floral designs along the edges of the dress because she was someone who enjoyed nature and walking along paths of flowers. I would wear a white period mask to match the dress.
Elizabeth's behavior at these kinds of parties would be to carefully observe everything, converse, and dance. So I could imitate her perfectly, without difficulty.
For me, Elizabeth Bennet is the restless, witty, and dreamy young woman that resides within all women in one way or another. Despite the limitations of her era and the unpleasant situations she faced, she was always true to herself.

Hola a toda la comunidad, esta es mi participación en el concurso semanal de Ladies of Hive. La pregunta que seleccioné fue sobre la posibilidad de asistir a una fiesta de la comunidad disfrazada, y cuál sería mi disfraz.

Me gustaría difrazarme con el vestido blanco de época con el que fue a la fiesta donde conoció a Darcy. Usaría el mismo peinado. Solo le añadiría diseños florales en los bordes del vestido porque era alguien que disfrutaba de la naturaleza y caminar por senderos de flores. Usaría una máscara de época blanca para que combine con el vestido.
El comportamiento de Elizabeth en este tipo de fiestas sería observarlo todo detenidamente, conversar y bailar. Así que podría imitarla a la perfección, sin dificultad.
Para mí Elizabeth Bennet es la joven inquieta, graciosa y soñadora que se encuentra dentro de todas las mujeres de una forma u otra. A pesar de las limitaciones de su época y a las situaciones desagradables que se le presentaron, siempre fue fiel a sí misma.
