Everybody talks about the great benefit they would get from moving from their country to another, even from childhood we all have had big dreams about moving and living the life we hear about and see in the news.
I completely understand that everyone wants some form of peace and a better life for themselves and their family but have we sat down to look at the options. There are lots of disadvantages attached to relocating, Nothing good comes easy but most people do not mind whether they are going to suffer or live on the street, they just want to leave their country one way or another. and it is not supposed to be like that.
About this issue of relocation, I am completely indifferent and not so psychic about the whole idea for so many reasons; I have family that has lived abroad for a long time and are back in Nigeria and are even doing better financially, Mentally, physically than they were in the other country.
Odd but it's the fact!!!
I have had countless conversations with them and a few things were a common concern about migrating.
LEGITIMATE MEANS OF MIGRATION
Migration has become so difficult now in those days we had visa lottery that most people used to get their international visa but lottery days are over, the legitimate means to migrate is by WORK VISA or EDUCATION.
To go about these two means one must have a substantial amount of money(meaning you must have been successful enough in your own country before you decide to move) or maybe a sponsor or scholarship could work too . and for the work visa, you must have gained enough experience in the skill the country requires even with the experience you would still need some amount of money for the flight tickets, accommodation and feeding till the company pays.
There are other means too, we have citizenship by investment but your account has to be loaded for this to happen.
But most Nigeria are too eager to take any of these processes, so they go illegally and start hiding and living like thieves in another man鈥檚 country when you could put that energy to making it here in your country.
BILLS
when you are earning in dollars from Nigeria you get so excited about the dollar rate, because you are spending the money in naira, imagine earning And spending in dollars. From people who migrated back one common factor, they complained about was the fact they were living in a cycle. Getting paid and spending it all on accommodation, utility and other bills then remember that family member in Nigeria that you send money to from Time to time before you know you're already in debt before the month ends And you keep going and going.
just because you want to keep up the front you end up living a lie.
FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT kind of life
I could go on and on but las las it is my own opinion. But seriously before considering migrating think about the options, pros, and cons, study the country very well (not all countries are worth leaving Nigeria for) before taking that big step to relocate.
Nigeria is bad! Nigeria is corrupt!! things are hard!!! life is not better here!!! that is what we complain about but people are living a fantastic life here and making a name for themselves without facing the stress the country brings.
They do not have two heads now, do they?馃
There are lot of people putting in effort to make our country better, we may not see it because it is not in effect yet but it does take a drop of water to make a mighty oceans right but all we need is patience and hope for a better Nigeria.

Besides There is nothing wrong with visiting other countries from time to time, Getting a proper education there, these exposures are very much needed for our growth, and there is nothing wrong with it at all.
Like I said THIS IS BASED SOLELY ON MY OPINION
The decision is still up to you to make if migrating gives you a better life then by all means go but if migrating is an option just because you want to run from personal problems rather than find solutions to them then I really can't say.
