As a kid I was a fuzzy eater, when it comes to food, I loved what I loved, and that is all that matters.

I remember my mum always trying to pack food I refused to eat at home for me to take to school with the hope I would eat when I saw my friend eating theirs. But unfortunately, I return my food home just the way it was packed the only thing you would see me take during my lunch break was my fruit juice or my favorite Nutri- C juice.

I remember My cousin came from Lagos to Benin city to spend the holiday and they came with their provisions because they use to them make me believe that Benin city then was like a village and we never had lots of items other cities had. part of this provision was an instant noodle, my mum prepared them and according to my mother for the first time in a long time, I ate a full bowl of noodles and asked for more.

Trust my mother to run to the market to get a full carton. I enjoyed it even when my mother almost abused it by giving me almost 4-5 times a week. But for some weird reason I never got tired, maybe because she did a lot with the noodles with crayfish, veggies, chicken, fish, and so much more recipes.

I do not eat any other brand of instant noodles if it is not INDOMIE INSTANT NOODLES even now, I wouldn't dare. The one time I tried to diversify, it was a disaster, I do not know what these other brands use as their spicy cause it just gives the meal a horrible taste. It could just be the one brand I tried.

What other brand of noodles do you use that is very nice? Maybe I could give it a try.

I influenced my husband with noodles, he believed that noodles are for children and they can never satisfy him. I didn't have to argue too much, I make my salivating noodles for myself with my “orishirishi” (veggies, eggs, prawns, sausages, chicken, or turkey ) depending on my mood. Guess who gets an extra spoon to join me on the table 😂😂.

We never run out of noodles in my house, like the name implies instant noodles, it was a go-to for days I needed something to Eat quickly before the main dish is ready aside from cereal though which was another childhood favorite that I still take today.

Talking about cereal, I am disappointed at the change in quality and quantity of cornflakes over the years. I enjoyed Kellogg's cornflakes, it was rich, big, and crunchy, unlike Nassco which was just regular but now if you open a pack of both brands Into a bowl, you would hardly tell the difference. Grateful other flavors and brands are now available, unlike noodles, I do not mind trying other brands of cereal as far as it is nutritious, crunchy, and satisfying.

There is one other food I love and still do, but do not know if I can categorize it as a meal, it's biscuit sailed in milk or Tea. I spent most of my childhood in a boarding school and because I didn't have the luxury of a stove, biscuit soaked in tea was the next best thing.

Call me “agbaya” but I still do it till date.

2️⃣ What were your favorite foods as a child? Do you still enjoy them now?

So yes I completely still enjoy my childhood favorite meals till date, by the way, I am having my favorite indomie noodles for breakfast this morning with some Titus fish and veggie and I would love to invite blezyn@blezyn and carlynn@carlynn not for the meal though obviously because of the distance😅 but to share with us what their childhood favorite meal was and if you still enjoy it now.
