To celebrate our birthdays we usually do something simple where the main thing is to make the birthday boy's favorite food to celebrate.
My son and I made lunch, he made a delicious sauce and I made the pasta. For the evening I made a small birthday cake which I covered with chocolate and peanuts since my husband loves nuts and I had bought the peanuts for my baking sales but since my husband knew about them he has been buying them.
So as a gift I wanted to put a good part of the peanut that was still left in his cake so he could enjoy it quietly. The other times he did it "on the sly" hahaha.
So we sang the birthday and he cut the cake. This was our dinner. A little piece for each of us. I didn't do much because today I woke up with the flu and the sickness knocked me down but I hope I will be responding to my lack of details the next few days.
