Feeling of anxiety after waking up from my naps, one’s I never take, forced me to go outside and just walk somewhere without destination. I need to clear my mind and just suck in that sweet silence of nature. Just so I would feel like I’m not losing it. I’ve said that I never take naps. And I didn’t, until now. I can’t really say what is going on with that, but I blame @eveuncovered. She ”fixed” my fellow sleepless in our Estonia trip, and something she did apparently also effected to me. So I’ve been napping every day after work this week. And I’m so bad with naps…
Okay, the weekend might have been also more exhausting socially than I like to admit and all the other clutter I’ve have to put up with this week might have been draining energy out of me, but I still feel like blaming Eve.
Anyway. I wandered out side, taking directions based on what was unknown to me. I chose only the paths I didn’t know where they actually were heading. No time and I was ”lost”. Quotation marks mostly because can you really get lost if you have no place where you try to end up? Okay, I was only like a few kilometers from home, so still hanging around in my hoods. But I had really no idea where was I. Somewhere in the woods. And that suited for me better than fine.
I ended up finding this small camp sight and tiny pond. And infernal amounts of mosquitoes.
It was totally worth it though. Soothing effect of nature for me is now more important than in ages. With all the existential crisis and all. I need to find more places that are unfamiliar for me and just let my mind wander more freely. I feel way too stuck with my thoughts at the moment, and I need to get them flowing so there would be any kind of sense in my decision making. I guess there is going to be I lot more mosquito bites ahead…
And of course, not like I leave my camera at home nowadays, not even when I need break from everything. I took only Sigma 30mm f/1.4 with me, and Canon EOS is still the weapon of choice.
