I hate giving medical advice on Facebook or WhatsApp. Is not legal, is dangerous, is free.
I abandoned my practice two years ago, yet I get more questions from family and friends now than I did when I was working.

"But you are free and is nothing for you."
" I just wanna know if this is a reason to visit the E.R.

Most of the time are pediatric questions. Is not that I don't like children, is that when they are really sick they should go to a hospital.

Some workers of my cousins are uninsured and ask me how to get free medical coverage. A couple of them have conditions that are pre-existing so they can't get a medical insurance for them.
The more I help the more people recommend me and that gets quite annoying.

I feel uncomfortable when they offer to pay. Since is not a real visit but I don't like the idea of doing it for free out of nowhere. Is more the fact it's not programmed than anything else.

I like giving advice, but I don't like giving important advice all the time. I want people to be responsible for their own decisions. Teaching them how to fish not giving them a fish. Sometimes is not possible for them to make informed decisions and still I want them to decide for themselves. Does that makes me a bad person?
