I understand the desire for human connection. People don't understand how I'm so comfortable living at the homeless shelter. I'm in a 9-month program with a small group I've grown very close to. I haven't had any friends in 26 years besides my two wives so this is wonderful in my opinion. It is a little expensive as I'm one of three with income in a group of seven but that's not really that big of a deal since they are basically like family now.
