Victor trudged through the dense woods, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any sign of Rory. They had been separated for hours, and Victor was starting to get worried.

As he walked, he stumbled upon a clearing. In the center of the clearing stood the small cabin where they had held Kanaq's niece, Akira.

Victor's heart racing, he approached the cabin. He called out Rory's name, but there was no response.

He pushed open the creaking door, his eyes scanning the interior of the cabin. But Rory was nowhere to be found.

Victor's anxiety growing, he searched the perimeter of the cabin. And then, he saw her.

Rory's body lay on the ground, naked and lifeless. Strange symbols were etched into her skin, seemingly burned into her flesh. Exactly as the drawing in the book depicted.

Victor's eyes widened in horror as he approached Rory's body. He felt a wave of nausea wash over him, and he stumbled backwards.

As he looked around, he saw Akira, Kanaq's niece, lying on the ground, knocked out. She was 33 yards away from Rory's body.

Victor's heart racing, he approached Akira. He checked her pulse, and to his relief, she was still alive.

But as he looked around, he realized that he was not alone. Kanaq stood behind him, his eyes blazing with fury.

"You're the one who's been killing all these people," Kanaq growled, his voice low and menacing.

Victor tried to run, but Kanaq was too quick. He grabbed Victor, pinning him to the ground.

"You're going to pay for what you've done," Kanaq snarled, his eyes blazing with fury.

And with that, Kanaq's hands closed around Victor's throat, squeezing the life out of him.

Victor's eyes bulged as he struggled to breathe. He knew that he was going to die, and he was powerless to stop it.

As the life drained from his body, Victor saw Kanaq's face twisted in a snarl of rage. He knew that he had underestimated Kanaq, and now he was paying the price.

And then, everything went black.

Kanaq stood up, his chest heaving with exertion. He looked down at Victor's lifeless body, a sense of satisfaction washing over him.

He had finally found the people who had taken his niece. And now, they were dead.

Kanaq turned to Akira, who was still lying on the ground, knocked out. He gently picked her up, cradling her in his arms.

As he looked at her, he saw the strange symbol etched into her forehead. He knew that he had to get her out of there, and fast.

Kanaq turned to leave, but as he did, he heard a faint whispering in his ear. The words were indistinguishable, but the malevolent intent was clear.

Kanaq's skin crawled as he spun around, but there was no one there. The whispering grew louder, more urgent.

He knew that he had to get Akira out of there, and fast. But as he turned to leave, he realized that he was not alone.

The darkness seemed to be closing in around him, the trees twisting and turning in ways that seemed impossible.

Kanaq's heart racing, he knew that he had to get Akira to safety. But as he looked around, he realized that he was lost.

The woods seemed to have shifted and twisted around him, and he had no idea which direction to go.

Kanaq's anxiety growing, he knew that he had to find a way out of the woods. But as he looked around, he realized that he was completely alone.

And then, everything went black.
