Today am here to explain about the Theory of bonded joint. This is also called as adhesives materials. Adhesives is nothing but a glue material used in out day to day life. The two metal joints are called as adhenands.
They are not natural compounds they are types of polymers.
Filler material that holds parts together.
Non metallic substance, mostly polymers.

One part adhesive better than 2 parts.
Tape and flim adhesives are better than liquid and paste because it is easy to handle.
Thermal expansion property of the metal being joined should be given utmost importance.
Adhesives with harmful chemical are to be avoided to protect health issue.

Contact area - As contact area directly proportional to ability to load withstand.
Region of failure - check chemical bonding, physical interaction, Mechanical interaction to prevent failure.
Surface preparation - Before use of adhesive we should ensure the surface free from dust, oil and oxide flim. This may result in improper bond.
