With so many people throwing stones at us, we are tempted to answer everything and explain our side of the story, but the question is, will they believe us? will our side of the story matter for them? Sometimes yes, often no.
Because you know "PEOPLE WILL ONLY LISTEN TO WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR" no matter what explain and proof you show, there are people who will believe the stories made by others and gossip about you!
Yes, we are hurt most especially when we see people who are important to us believe what others say more than what we say, but let them believe what they want to believe.
Let them believe in lies.
Let them be mad at you for things you didn't do.
Let them be consumed by their own hatred!
You know if a person is a true friend or really loves you, they will hear your side of the story before they make any judgment on you and they won't just believe what others say because they know who you really are.
Those people who are quick to believe what others say, that has no conviction. They can be easily deceived with lies. It might be that they are one of those people who are just waiting for you to make a mistake. Don't chase them, the real ones will stay!
What they believe and how they interpret things is not within our control. Don't try to change it. Just continue doing good because that's what's more important!
If you also make a mistake, be accountable of your actions, learn from it and don't waste your time trying to explain to everyone. Clean up your own mess and focus your energy in improving yourself. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes!
