Today a travel day. I'm currently on the South island and went from Blenheim to Kaikoura. Before and after the bus trip I did some walking in both places.
Blenheim is a not very special town in the Marlborough wine region. I did do a wine tour yesterday, which was pretty nice, but besides that there is not much to do.
Kaikoura is a small town further south on the coast, which was hit by an earthquake in 2016 (the road was actually only reopened last year). There are a lot of ocean related attractions here, such as dolphin swimming (booked out...), whale watching and kayaking (tomorrow). The views, with both the sea and high mountains, are amazing:
