I'm not sure I understand the case. I mean why were your family sued when the coroner could not find anything suspicious. The prosecution can't go to court without hard evidence.

Anyway, I'm sorry to hear about what your family had to go through. It's sad but at least it's over.

Also I'd like to suggest Self Improvement community in the future for such topics. OCD community is for topics that don't fit in any other community and should be used when you don't find a niche community for your post.
