Visiting so many art exhibitions can be very exciting as you always get to see new things that surprise you. Each exhibition has its own magic. However, apart from watching the artworks, I'm also interested in how those artworks are created. Some are easy to figure out, others are a mystery to me as my knowledge is not enough. It's guessing, but it's a nice game.
The artworks I'm going to show you are part of a private collection and it is the property of one person, it also represents the artistic taste of the owner.

Sometimes I'm looking at paintings, drawings and collages, thinking I could do something similar as the composition before my eyes doesn't seem so difficult, yet they were the ones to create the artwork, not me 馃槀 This is like being smart, after others have already invented something. However, this is how you learn I think, not that I ever want to follow their footsteps.

This was a bit of a shock to be honest, I wasn't expecting such a work, but it's interesting.
Quo Vadis, Domine?
There were many amazing artworks exhibited, but for me, this was the cherry on top of the cake. The title is in Latin and it means Where are you going master?
I took a few close-up photos for you to see how it is made and maybe you can't see that from where I took the photo.
I don't know how this technique is called, but it fascinates me. I call it simple as there are only lines, but in fact this is everything but simple. You need to have a clear picture in your head, a defined plan on how to draw those lines, to get what you want. There are no colors here, just lines leaning left and right.
Look at how many people are in this painting. How do you plan and organize a composition like that. Beats me, but I admire the artist a lot. His name is Tam谩s Vass. Hats off in any case. I stood there and looked at the drawing for 10 minutes. Was thinking if I could buy a few artworks, this one would definitely be among those.
Forms
This was made with the same technique, it's ink on paper, but this is simpler than the previous one.
Still Life
When I saw this watercolor painting, made in 1974, was thinking back in the day this kind of still life was very common. You see these now in movies and on photos, but their time has passed I suppose.
Triptych
Winter Landscape
A scene that was very common once, was part of every day's life. Now you can't see it anymore and haystacks are on their way of disappearance. Instead of haystacks we have rolls and farmers don't leave the hay outside, unprotected. I found this painting beautiful, bu a bit too dark for my taste.
Landscape Along The Mures Coast
This painting was painted in 1951 and it reminded me of van Gogh, but can't explain why. Life is full of surprises and the human mind has its own way.
Baia Mare Landscape
If I were to use one word for this painting, that would be brutal and that means no disrespect for the artist as the word refers to the style. I was looking for a year, to see if the paint is cracked or it's just an illusion, but could not find any.
