Thoughts
thunder
through me,
twisted magic,
minus metrics,
Creating
unbridled hope
in this moment,
air electric.
Entranced
in the song
of my muse
during these
autumn days,
I marvel
in its ways.
As I wring
the fabric
of this
darkness,
something
is birthed
from the light.

drip slowly
and freely,
like syrup,
and to
my soul
they taste
just every bit
as sweet.
