Here’s a totally frivolous but extremely interesting Grok/AI finding. My late father used to make up or intentionally mispronounce words (it was kind of his thing). One word that he used for “fart” always baffled us, the word was “fogo”. As a kid I didn't think much of it and assumed he'd just made it up.
For some reason the memory of him saying it popped into my head the other night and I looked it up on Grok. The word “fogo” shows up in an early 19th century dictionary as British slang! His ancestors are nearly 100% British and immigrated to America in the 1600’s. This word survived down through his bloodline all those years. He would have been amazed by that. AI can be pretty incredible.

It's hard to believe but our furnace came on for the first time last night. We're dipping a little close to freezing in the evening for my liking—it got down to 42 degrees last night.
Winter is right on our doorstep and the wildlife seems to know this too. The ducks and geese are making their way south to their winter havens, stopping at our ponds and wetlands for a rest.
The birds are spending more time at our feeders and fattening up, right on schedule.
It won't be long now before the trees are stripped bare and we'll be dreaming of another spring.
This was my view this morning on what was an extremely chilly morning walk.
"Sensitive" Content
You might remember the saga I was going through on X as I explained in my post Algorithmic Roadblocks. Well, they removed the sensitive content warning from my book-launch post, at least. Better late than never.
It appears that I still have an account-level flag of some kind. I'm going to do what I can to get this sorted out with X's customer support. They don't make it easy to report these kinds of issues and still haven't responded to my inquiry about the account-level flagging.
Thankfully Walking With the Muse is still performing quite well—although I can't help but wonder how many sales I lost on X.
I've been making updates to my website this week and it's proven to be a laborious process. SquareSpace has done away with website templates in its newest version (7.1) so all you have to work with are the design tools. It looks like this will be a little tougher than I originally thought. However, I promise, the website will be continuously evolving into something cleaner, more functional, and modern. I don't give up that easily. : )
Cybertruck
My brother is considering selling his GMC truck and pulling the trigger on a Cybertruck. Ever since he's told me that I've begun noticing them more. The wrap on this one is probably my favorite of any I've seen. It has the same visual details as a fighter plane complete with the copper-colored window tint to match.
Ever since taking one for a test drive a few months ago I understand why people are falling for them. I just couldn't justify such a huge vehicle. One of the Tesla executives explained the Cybertruck you buy today only shares roughly 13% of the parts that were launched on the original truck in 2023. Despite the truck looking the same Tesla has been continuously updating the software and hardware. Pretty impressive to say the least.
