A cold wallet is just a storage device that allows you to hold your cryptocurrency yourself and not keep it on an exchange. I'd be leery about handing out my Hive keys as well. Almost every day I have people trying to crack my Apple ID, Venmo account, and Gmail passwords—sometimes multiple times a day. I put two-factor authentication (2FA) on everything I can and use biometric (FaceID) as well on the Apple devices. I also change my email address frequently on my accounts. Still, when someone is trying to change my passwords and I see the notification pop up on my screen asking if I should allow my password to be changed I cringe at the thought that if I accidentally choose "Yes" instead of "No, Do Not Allow" the hacker would have access to everything. I think companies who allow our data to be stolen should be held accountable and have to pay some kind of restitution.
