I don't even know what a cold wallet is. One reason I don't join voting trails is they ask for my keys. I just hold onto them. Print copies and hand them out to family members.
I've no idea how safe they are. Actually, I'm prepared to hear at any moment that someone has hacked something in my name somewhere. It's a new kind of highwayman, a virtual sneak attack.
