You got in there at just the right time by the sound of it. There's lots of opportunity during those times of transition. I sometimes wish the vibe of city neighborhoods could be more static but they constantly evolve. Saint Paul/Minneapolis has about a thirty year cycle where certain neighborhoods fall into decay/disrepair, they're gentrified then in a decade or so the mom & pop shops are priced out, then in a 2-3 decades the cycle repeats itself. I'm happier being away from the city now with the phase of life I'm in but I really enjoyed city life when I was younger.
