How can we as human beings measure up to the unconditional love, loyalty, pure joy, and companionship that dogs provide us? I don't think that we can begin to, but during the last twelve years my wife and I have tried our best with our beagle Amstel.
Through the years he’s traveled the country with us, we’ve logged thousands of miles of walks, and have had countless adventures (and misadventures). Amstel’s been by my side while I’ve worked on every single book I’ve published in the last decade. He's got so much personality that it's safe to say he's a celebrity in our neighborhood.
