Happy Saturday fellow Steemians is there anything better then getting home after chasing a 3 year old around all day, and knowing that there is a selection of ice cold craft beer waiting on you in the fridge? Your answer I will assume is the same as mine a great big NO! Well today I would just like to give a brief rundown of my all time favorite brew Creature Comforts Athena.

Athena is a member of the Berliner Weisse family and it is 4.5% ABV. The brewery describes Athena as “ A refreshing gently tart, German-style Wheat beer with a blend of citric and fruit notes with nods to cider and Sauvignon blanc”.

Athena
After the pour you first notice the light hazy straw color, and a white fluffy head that produces a sour, fruity, and citrus aroma. Creature Comforts Athena is like it says on the can gently tart; with the first sip you experience that lemony citrus flavor with some soft fruity notes in the background. To me this beer has a salty finishing note, but not to the point that its overwhelming.

Artwork
One of the things I love about this brewery is the custom artwork that is on their cans. On the Creature Comforts Athena can you can see the image of the brewery with Athena walking through Athens towards a theater. All of Creature Comforts cans feature some type of custom artwork that was created especially for the beer that is going in to that can.

So if you are ever in the Atlanta, Ga area and you get a chance to sample a beer from Creature Comforts go for it, their beer will not disappoint. I am still new to doing craft beer reviews, so thank you for taking the time to read mine! - Ericstotle
