HaHa! What a bombastic compliment that would have been. Even I, as a German girl, would probably have been enraptured by it. LOL You're right though, Germans aren't very good at making such sweet remarks. And I would probably have taken such a speech to me as too much of a good thing. I don't remember ever being addressed in that way by a young man, but it wasn't necessary, looks and gestures did the trick.
From today's perspective, I rave about youth, because young people can do almost nothing wrong in terms of their appearance, they all look like the fountain of youth. My son, who is just entering his prime and only became a man a ridiculously short time ago, I could look at him for hours. Young people often don't realise how attractive they look and that's because of their naivety and lack of life experience, which is what makes them so attractive. Haha!

True. One has to have a knack with language and reading though in order to start to appreciate this form of artistic expression. My mans son borrowed Alexandre Dumas from me and is fascinated by the book because it is contemporary speech.
