The 90s were the best for music and other extracurricular activities (second only to the 60s in North America)

The Love Parade was unique, never before and never after have I experienced and seen such a revealing and shamelessly exercised amusement in that dimension. Right, that's probably how people felt at Woodstock. The hunger for such licentiousness was expressed by the sheer mass of young (and old) people who danced their way through the streets, exposing their costumes like fools. Simply fantastic. I am amazed that the event lasted so long. Probably also because of the many nice opportunities to earn money - :-) Wherever there are masses of people, there is also a lot of work and business.
I am thrilled that I was able to experience it and I think that our children will envy us one day if they are not able to set up or participate in something like this themselves.

I would have loved to have been at Burning Man, but that era is lost to me, for reasons.

I feel a certain attraction towards the shrillness, the misfits and the divas, although I often can't stand them either. The two sides of the same coin.

I find it remarkable that we Germans were capable of such freaky things. An effect of the German-American friendship? LOL On a more serious note, I would say that those events express what is and was suppressed.

I guess, the asian countries are the next who will be and are known of extracurricular activities. They got to catch up and that's what they do, while we begin to regret those activities, as it seems. But I don't know, really. I am out of that business.

I don't think that we are in danger as well. But if you listen to the media, the next nuclear war is to come. I experienced too much of doomsday scenarios that I do not take them so serious any longer. If I am proved wrong, so it may be. In the meantime I opt for my own ignorance and enjoy life as if everything would be okay. Enough misery already happened.

If everyone takes care of their own yard, then the entire neighbourhood will be clean.

If you set your neighbour's house on fire, then don't be surprised if sparks fall on your roof.

Those are to my taste, and yes, are very well known sayings. Though the second one not so much. I heard it differently:

"When you crack the whip on the floor, don't be surprised that the dirt splashes up on you."

I love the oldies for giving those sayings to the next generations. There is always a very true core to be found.

Thanks for this folk music, I like it when the voice hits this certain point.

Here, that was something I danced to in the 90s:
