I thought I'd pay you a visit.

Self-help gurus do indeed help themselves. They are good at giving tips and advice to others, online they usually talk to themselves and feed off the thanks of other self-seekers. An audience can always be found if you are convinced you are a teacher. Lol

One says the right thing, one warns against charlatans (not far from being one oneself without knowing it), one compares oneself with the dazzling figures from history and religion, one makes nice little graphs and numbers the "really important points" as strategic markers, first, second, third. One processes what one picks up on the net and denigrates it qualitatively.

One politely thanks and blesses one's audience and uses the learned buzzwords from the esoteric linguistic customs of so-called enlightened wisdom, where it was "successfully managed to manifest the wishes".

I, too, have hung and still hang at times on the lips of those who shimmer towards me as luminous personalities and admire their eloquence and charm. In fact, they are only exceptions to the rule of the average and ordinary. God forbid, one is considered ordinary!

After a while, you think you've heard it all before and want to bin the stuff. Life is a joke. Laughing at it, of course, is the art.

My own impulses to pass on to others what I have heard, learned and considered valuable feels like school lessons in retrospect. The children come home and tell their parents who Napoleon or Hitler was or what they learned in biochemistry. In the complete conviction that the teaching is infallible. As a parent you shake your head and just think your piece.

But I don't want to put it down either. Among the common and gauche thoughts and formulations, you can find a few treasures for yourself in due course. It's like practising scoring goals with a ball. Out of ten, three go in.

I realise how much or little wisdom all that I have read and seen has really brought when I spend more than three days with my family. LoL
