You are indeed a very attentive reader. A rare quality that I encounter. My thanks for that! It is pleasant to have taken you with me through this journal. I could have easily produced two more pages, but decided against it.
You know Schogetten! HaHa, that's really extraordinary, I remember eating that kind of chocolate as a child. Is it still sold in individual pieces in the packaging? I thought that brand itself was a thing of the past.
So you repair broken appliances? Chapeaux! I have every respect for that, every piece that is revived and put into service has its own story to tell. I love old radios and had one in my youth room for a long time. The speakers had excellent sound and the solid wooden body and thick control knobs made it almost indestructible.
Delightful, so you've put the hillbilly back together again! Yes, I often wonder how the word creations came about and play with them, it's fun, how nice that you think so too. I suppose hillbilly was more of a not very friendly term for men who worked in logging companies and returned home dirty and exhausted after their work was done in their check shirts.
I see you too have a penchant for the ritual of getting ready to go out. Have you ever tried men's hairstyles from the past, the typical quiffs of the rock n roll era?
My family's history is truly remarkable and my deep involvement with their fate began when I was about twenty years old, when I tried to piece together the chronological events by interviewing my mother and writing everything down along the way. Even now, I enjoy listening to the old people who are among my other relatives and neighbours in the town where I grew up. The stories are outstanding, I have shared them here. These actual experiences are often the stuff of books and films, only the people who share them are often not even mentioned. My blog has numerous publications on this topic, perhaps I will make a summary of them to have them immediately at hand.
I am delighted to have been of service to you and that you have experienced a little time of enjoyment.
Sincerely!
