Thank you. It's very difficult these days to openly speak your mind. The field of fear is huge and it springs from one person to the other. Yes, fear based decisions are the worst. The radical and quick implemented measurements from the side of the government made me doubtful. Mass media is in the hand of the powerful. They neglect their job and what they were actually created for. To take mass media as the only source of information leads to a distorted picture. If the editors do not leave room for different standpoints and let people speak who are not pro government measurements there is something wrong with the very principle of free speech and variety of opinion. It's the duty of politicians to guarantee that diverging worldviews can be expressed and that they are well advised when their consultants are not professional lobbyists or have severe interests in business.
The whole situation shows once again that it always leads to what people believe anyway.
A few days ago a new party has formed itself. Called "resistance2020" and I became a member yesterday. I actually don't like the chosen name and I hope that this is going to be changed eventually.
I had a long talk to my son yesterday and what I became very aware of is that he already knows that having an opinion which distances itself from the many creates insecurity and one is in danger to be looked at as crazy or unadapted. For teenagers it's one of the most important things to fit in and to be part of the group. Having a mother who does mostly not go with what is mainly distributed and sold through mass media makes him anxious. I told him that he is correct and that it's tough to stay stable and to trust ones life experience. At the same time saying that only the insane has no doubts.
How is the situation over there? Do you also now have mask obligation?
