As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.(Proverbs 10:26)
No man wants to do business with a SLUGGARD, a man or woman too lazy to be use to himself or others. We are advised to go the ant. Diligence, being able to work hard and do one's best at any job is a vital part of wise living. The ants without supervision are able to work hard. The scripture says of the ant provideth her meat in summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
Unlike the SLUGGARD, the ants know when to work and when to rest. So should we! It is disastrous to have children or relatives who refuse to apply themselves where and when they should. Forever they will be a burden to you. When they should be on their feet you have to carry them every inch of the way. We have this man who lamented that at the age of 70 plus he still had to pay his children's rent and help Carter for his grand children.
God expects us to work hard not to become rich, famous or admired, although these may be by-products but to serve him with our very best during our lives. A man who decides to while away his time and enjoy when he should be studying or working will realize soon that there is nothing like something for nothing. He will work when he should be enjoying.
To his chagrin, he will realize he has been building on a faulty foundation that can not support a solid, useful future. Laziness turns us from our responsibilities and brings us to poverty. Learn to work hard.
Say No laziness!! Rise Up and work. Show the world what you have got!
